Snorin' Desert Sidefinder

 


“We shouldn’t have taken a sidetrack,” said the guide. “They’re more common here.” He said he’d heard of experienced outdoorspeople waking to find the snakes’ pink skins laid across their sleeping bags, then finding themselves disoriented; unable to find their ways for days. But it wasn’t always bad, he explained. There are stories of explorers happening across lost places or treasures after encountering the snakes. Then we noticed a waterfall through the trees, and forgot about the snake.
